The International Congress on Obesity (ICO) took place from July 15 to 17 at the World Trade Center in Mexico City, featuring three days of scientific sessions and oral presentations. Since its inception in 1974, the Congress has become the premier global forum for experts, researchers, and professionals dedicated to advancing knowledge regarding obesity, as well as its prevention and treatment.
Colansa coordinators Agustina Luque, Ariadna Villalobos, and Christian Torres participated in the event’s activities and presented Colansa as part of a regional effort to bridge academia and civil society.
Dr. Camila Corvalan premiered a video detailing the implementation process of the region’s first front-of-package warning label system and the key results observed more than a decade after its approval. This topic will be the focus of our upcoming webinar on August 13.
The next edition of the event will be held in China.
