This study aimed to identify national public policies that promote healthy food environments in the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region and to outline priority research areas to strengthen their implementation, from the perspectives of researchers.
Participants highlighted the need for research to evaluate policy implementation, monitor their impact, and address obstacles such as industry interference. Strengthening regional collaboration and applied research capacities can contribute to generating practical evidence for more effective and equitable food policies in the region.
