Introduction to research designs in food systems

This course introduces concepts related to the research question and some research designs used in epidemiology (observational, experimental, and systematic reviews) that can be used in the study of food systems, as well as the hierarchy of evidence according to the type of study.

The course is delivered online, asynchronously. It includes 5 videos, 3 optional activities, reading material to deepen your knowledge, and research examples of the designs in each module.
At the end, you will be asked to complete a survey.

  • Course Level: INTRODUCTORY. No prior knowledge is required.
  • A certificate of completion is provided (if the optional activities are completed).
